Preschoolers nowadays may start to write from 3 or 4 years old. A good writing tool could help to prevent writing related issues for example incorrect grip, forceful pressure on the tool and bad "paper to writing tool" positioning. While we can encourage children to grip a pencil correctly, using the right tool could actually help them learn that better. One example is to use triangular pencils instead of the more traditional hexagonal pencils. This product, Stabilo Easygraph Pencil, helps with carved grooves for children to position their fingers. It actually comes in Right or Left-handed grooves. And you do not need to worry that the grooves will not be intact after you sharpen the pencil. The grooves are positioned such that sharpening the pencil will not affect their functionality. If you find that your child is having issues gripping the pencil during writing, you can give this product a try. Habits start young!
